HADARA Housing and Real Estate Branch focuses on providing innovative communities solutions for the housing and real estate manifesting problems. With the aim of enabling communities to get access to decent and affordable shelter, HADARA has developed and participated in advisory services ,research and training activities including surveys and data collection, analysis and consolidation, designing and planning districts and resorts in both urban and rural communities.

Master plan, parcellation and buildings design plans for a middle-income residential district on a 70-ha site. The development includes 3,000 apartments and 300 villas to accommodate a population of 15,000. Works included full support facilities, park, commercial centers, and complete road and other infrastructure.

Planning, Urban Design and Housing Units Design of the complex, on 30,000 m², comprising 4000 housing units at Cairo Alexandria Desert Road.

THE NEW HOUSING COMPLEX, TOSHKY.

Planning, Urban Design and Housing Units Design of the complex, on 40,000 m², comprising 5000 housing units at Toshky, South Nile Valley.

MOQBELA HOTEL, TABA, EGYPT.

Design and construction documents for a 5-star resort hotel at the Gulf of Aqaba, Red Sea, including 300 rooms, restaurants, recreation and service facilities in addition to outdoor pools and entertainment areas, on a 15 ha site.

PILGRIMS' ACCOMMODATION IN MUNA, SAUDI ARABIA.

Design of 7,000 tents on 20 plots in Muna with a total usable area of 1 million m², for the accommodation of 250,000 pilgrims. Works involved site grading, water supply and drainage design, electrical and mechanical supplies, and fire-fighting schemes.

NEW VILLA TYPES SANDORINI DISTRICT CAIRO - ALEX. ROAD, EGYPT.

Master plan, parcellation and unique design plans for all-income residential district on a 200 fed. Works included full support facilities, club, park, commercial centers, sport facilities and complete road and other infrastructure.

MARSA ALAM RESORT, EGYPT.

Design and construction documents for a 5-star resort hotel at the Marsa Alam, Red Sea, including 400 rooms, restaurants, recreation and service facilities in addition to outdoor pools and entertainment areas, on a 20 has site.

AL-RABWA HOTEL, RAS CEDRE, EGYPT.

Design documents for a 4-star resort hotel, including 200 rooms, restaurants, recreation and service facilities in addition to outdoor pool and entertainment areas, on a 5 ha site.

THE NATURE, EXTENT AND ERADICATION OF HOMELESSNESS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES RESEARCH.

A research funded by DFID. The purpose was to establish the nature and extent of homelessness in developing countries; to formulate workable definitions of homelessness suitable for developing country situations; to identify innovative practice in eradicating homelessness, in ameliorating its effects and in getting people off the streets; to disseminate our findings through electronic and paper means.

ENABLING HOUSING POLICIES AND HOUSING FINANCE IN ARAB CITIES

The training course and professional workshop presents new models for the implementation of more participatory, enabling policies of housing provision and financing. These models can deliver affordable housing.
