Design and supervision of construction for the upgrading of the 22,000 m˛ pharmaceutical plant to meet the FDA and GMP standards, planning for the manufacture of new products and transferring the still operating production lines from the Al-Salalem Plant.

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

FEASIBILITY STUDY OF THE PARTICIPATORY TELAL ZEINHOUM UPGRADING PROJECT IN CAIRO.

The assignment focused on assisting the study team from German Development Bank in developing community based plan for upgrading and formulating an institutional structure for the project, community management and assessing existing institutional structures

 

INFORMAL SETTLEMENT UPGRADING TOPOLOGY

Preparation of a report on the conditions of the population and the impact of lack of infrastructure on poverty in informal settlements in Egypt and the status of Upgrading in different governorates.

 

COMMUNITY ACTION PLANNING FOR ZOMOR CANAL IN GIZA.

Preparation of an action plan for the improvement of the Zomor canal area for GTZ project, included conducting action planning community workshops and community consultations sessions.

 

THE EXPERIENCES OF NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATIONS IN INFORMAL SETTLEMENTS UPGRADING IN EGYPT (THE EXPERIENCE OF “ COPTIC EVANGELIC SOCIAL SERVICES”)- MENIA GOVERNORATE.

This case has focused on documenting, analyzing and evaluating the practical experiences of the Coptic Evanglic Organization for Social Services (CEOSS) in improving the living conditions of the urban poor living in informal settlements in several Egyptian cities.

 

 

 

PLANNING AND MANAGING INFORMAL SETTLEMENT UPGRADING PROJECTS

It focuses on development of applied action planning tools and techniques to enable participants to intervene positively in settlement upgrading.

 

UPGRADING OF DETERIORATED AREAS THROUGH LAND REGULARIZATION AND PRIVATE SECTOR PARTICIPATION

The course introduced the participants to new tools and techniques in managing land development. It outlined the current legal, institutional and administrative problems that are impeding upgrading and hindering private sector and non governmental organizations participation. The course presented a practical approach with various alternatives for private sector participation in upgrading through land regularization.

 

NEW TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES FOR PLANNING AND MANAGING CONSERVATION AND REHABILITATION OF URBAN HERITAGE AND HISTORICAL AREAS

The training course is focusing on defining the meaning of cultural heritage, the concept of conservation of historical areas, its origin, meaning, tools and different strategies within a comprehensive role of urban development.
